Travel and accomodation
TechSoup covers all costs of travel, accommodation and meals during the event.
The working sessions will take place on the 13-14th of November 2024. The 12th of November is reserved for travel and Meet&Greet in the evening (at 19:00).
We cover all 3 nights of participants’ stay (November 12th-15th, 2024).

Requirements to enter Slovakia
Anyone arriving in Slovakia with passports from outside the Schengen Zone should prepare to have the following items on hand:
- A valid passport. It must not be older than ten years and should be valid for at least three more months, recommended six months, beyond its intended departure date from the Schengen Area.
- Blank passport pages. Your passport must have at least two blank pages for the entry stamp.
- A valid Schengen Visa. You must carry your Schengen visa with you when you travel through the Schengen Area. Usually, your visa is affixed to your passport, so those two go hand in hand.
- Evidence on the purpose of entry. While not required for all non-visa holders, attendees should carry documentation explaining that they will be attending MEGAPHONE 2024. MEGAPHONE 2024 attendees can request invitation letters from the Fundacja TechSoup by emailing btomczyk@techsoup.org with the subject line “MEGAPHONE Invitation Letter Request”.
- Proof of return travel. Print out your travel itinerary to show when you will be departing.
Code of Conduct
MEGAPHONE 2024 is an open event for activists from Central Eastern Europe and Central Asia whose aim is to understand and better respond to current polycysis.
The rules enlisted below apply for any and all event venues, including sessions, workshops, social events and social media.
We request all participants, session leaders, donors, volunteers and us – organizers to follow the below-mentioned rules:
- Act fairly, honestly, and in good faith with other participants;
- Listen actively (especially if you have the loudest voice);
- Engage in conversations that challenge your worldviews;
- Act with integrity and respect even when you disagree;
- Facilitate transparency and openness as much as possible;
- Assist in creating a welcoming and respectful environment;
- Respect the privacy rights of participants that attend MEGAPHONE 2024, irrespective of nationality, gender identity and expression, racial or ethnic origin, religion or beliefs (or lack thereof), disability, age, or sexual orientation, physical appearance, body size or technology choices – everyone has the right to be free from harassment.
Anti-Harassment Policy
Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated [harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention];
Any harassing or disrespectful behavior, comments, messages, images or interactions by any participant will not be tolerated;
You should report any unusual or inappropriate activity directly to one of our staff or to the contact below;
MEGAPHONE 2023 organizers reserve the right to revoke the attendance privileges of any offending individual or party and determine on what basis this decision is made.
Code of Conduct and Anti-Harassment Policy Response Process
When there has been an incident or breach of this code, the MEGAPHONE 2023 team will confidentially review and respond to any participant who has experienced harassment, inappropriate behavior or a violation of the code of conduct. The final decision on any disciplinary action will be made by an organizer and communicated to those involved.
