Invite only

MEGAPHONE & e-Society 2026 is an invite-only gathering. We do not run an open call or accept applications; participants and session leaders are selected directly by the organising team based on their work and role in the region. If you have received an invitation, it was extended to you specifically.

Travel and accomodation

TechSoup covers all costs of travel, accommodation and meals during the event.

The working sessions will take place on the Wednesday, 28th – Thursday, 29th of October 2026. Tuesday, 27th of October is reserved for travel and Meet & Greet in the evening (at 19:00).

We cover all 3 nights of participants’ stay (October 27th-30th, 2026).

Working language

The working language of the event is English. All sessions, materials and discussions will be conducted in English without translation, so a working command of the language is required to participate fully. If you have concerns about this, please raise them with us in advance so we can discuss what support might be possible.

Accessibility

We want the participants to take part fully in MEGAPHONE & e-Society 2026, and we are working to make the event as accessible as we can. At the same time, we want to be upfront that the main venue and some of the other spaces we will be using have physical limitations, including stairs and narrow corridors, and are not fully wheelchair accessible. If you have accessibility needs, please let us know as early as possible so we can talk through what is workable and what alternatives, if any, we can arrange.

Code of Conduct

MEGAPHONE & e-Society 2026 is a gathering of people who are already doing the work – unglamorous, unrelenting, essential – coming together to make it stronger and to remind each other why it matters.

The rules listed below apply to all event venues, including sessions, workshops, social events and social media.

We request all participants, session leaders, donors, volunteers and us – organizers to follow the below-mentioned rules:

  • Act fairly, honestly, and in good faith with other participants;
  • Listen actively (especially if you have the loudest voice);
  • Engage in conversations that challenge your worldviews;
  • Act with integrity and respect even when you disagree;
  • Facilitate transparency and openness as much as possible;
  • Assist in creating a welcoming and respectful environment;
  • Respect the privacy rights of participants that attend MEGAPHONE, irrespective of nationality, gender identity and expression, racial or ethnic origin, religion or beliefs (or lack thereof), disability, age, or sexual orientation, physical appearance, body size or technology choices – everyone has the right to be free from harassment.

Anti-Harassment Policy

Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated [harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention];

Any harassing or disrespectful behavior, comments, messages, images or interactions by any participant will not be tolerated;

You should report any unusual or inappropriate activity directly to one of our staff or to the contact below;

MEGAPHONE & e-Society organizers reserve the right to revoke the attendance privileges of any offending individual or party and determine on what basis this decision is made.

Code of Conduct and Anti-Harassment Policy Response Process

When there has been an incident or breach of this code, the MEGAPHONE & e-Society team will confidentially review and respond to any participant who has experienced harassment, inappropriate behavior or a violation of the code of conduct. The final decision on any disciplinary action will be made by an organizer and communicated to those involved.
