About us – MEGAPHONE

MEGAPHONE is an annual event for 100 activists from CEE, Central Asia, and Caucasus (each time from around 26 countries) struggling in the era of disinformation and social media algorithms.

The event’s focus changes each year, depending on current events and the most relevant struggles of CSOs and activists in the region. At the same time, the goals stay the same – it’s always about equipping activists, CSO professionals, and journalists with skills and knowledge relevant to work in their areas (women’s rights, LGBTQ+, climate crisis, etc.) as well as giving them a sense of “being in it together.”

About TechSoup, Digital Activism Program, and Hive Mind

TechSoup is a nonprofit social enterprise that equips changemakers with transformative technology solutions and the skills they need to drive social impact – both globally and locally.

MEGAPHONE is part of TechSoup’s Digital Activism Program, which is a global initiative that has empowered civil society actors since 2018 by providing support, learning opportunities, funding, connections, resources and tools to strengthen their digital resilience and help them adjust to the current challenges.

Hive Mind is an online learning space for activists, trainers, and organizations, and the main platform of the Digital Activism Program.  The platform, available in multiple languages, offers self-paced courses, training opportunities, tools, relevant articles, and case studies, all free of charge and tailored to regional circumstances and cultural differences.
